Discreet aerial overwatch for private events
Wraith Aerial provides quiet, owner-authorized drone overwatch for private events in Sonoma County and Northern California — house parties, winery and estate celebrations, weddings, and high-profile gatherings. We monitor the property and perimeter so hosts and guests can enjoy the event.
Definition
What event overwatch is
Event overwatch is a single licensed drone pilot, flying a small commercial airframe at a discreet altitude, monitoring the perimeter, access points, and back-of-house zones of a private property during an event. The pilot operates with explicit host authorization, never overflies guests, and provides real-time situational awareness to the host or their designated security lead. It is the aerial complement to a ground security team — not a replacement.

- Parking overflow and unauthorized vehicle tracking
- Back-of-house and service-area blind spots

What it doesn’t cover
Where the line is

In practice
What a real engagement looks like
A typical engagement runs the day of the event: site walk with the host or planner, pre-event perimeter sweep two hours before guest arrival, active overwatch during the main hours, and a post-event sweep once guests have departed. We coordinate quietly with whichever ground security team is on site so the operation feels like one team, not two.
Typical clients
- Private event hosts
- Estate owners hosting large gatherings
- Wedding planners coordinating destination weddings
- Winery and estate venue operators
- Security consultants extending their ground coverage with aerial
Frequently asked
About event overwatch
- Will guests see or hear the drone?
- Our airframe is small, flies at a discreet altitude, and operates from a perimeter vantage rather than overhead. Most guests do not notice it. We never overfly guests or guest activities — that is both a privacy boundary and an FAA rule.
- Do you replace ground security or work with them?
- We work with ground security. Aerial overwatch sees what a ground team cannot — the long perimeter, the wooded back acreage, the parking overflow lots — and feeds situational awareness back to the people on the ground. We do not replace a ground team for guest-facing roles.
- Can you fly after sunset?
- Yes. Wraith Aerial holds FAA Part 107 night operations waiver and flies a thermal-capable airframe. Night flights typically focus on perimeter and access-point monitoring after guest activities have wound down.
- What does this cost?
- Event overwatch pricing depends on the duration of coverage, the size and complexity of the property, and whether thermal/night coverage is included. Wraith Aerial is in pre-launch and quoting on a per-event basis — reach out with your event date and we will scope it directly.
