The Sonoma Plaza alone is one of the most photographed event venues in California. The Highway 12 corridor north through Glen Ellen and Kenwood threads past Bartholomew Estate, Buena Vista, Gundlach Bundschu, Benziger, Kenwood Vineyards, Chateau St. Jean, and dozens of smaller estates and event venues. To the east, the Mayacamas Mountains create steep parcel boundaries that no ground patrol can effectively walk.

Why drone overwatch suits Sonoma
Sonoma Valley estates run long and narrow — vineyard parcels that stretch from the valley floor up the Mayacamas slope, with multiple access roads and perimeter that takes hours to walk on foot. From the air, the same property is a 10-minute thermal sweep. For private events at valley estates, aerial overwatch covers driveway arrivals, parking overflow into adjacent vineyard rows, and the back-of-house service zones that are easiest for unauthorized people to wander into.

Airspace around Sonoma
Most of Sonoma Valley sits in Class G uncontrolled airspace at typical drone altitudes. Napa County Airport (KAPC) controlled airspace can extend westward into eastern Sonoma Valley, so Wraith Aerial files LAANC authorization in advance whenever flight plans touch that ring.
Wraith Aerial flies under FAA Part 107 commercial rules on every engagement. All flights are owner-authorized over property the client owns or controls. We monitor the property and perimeter, not your guests.
